Our top 3 places in Chiswick to eat, drink and be merry

An area with London’s oldest brewery, a former home of the literary genius W.B. Yeats and a pivotal impressionist artist Camille Pissarro, is bound to have a bit of character. We’ve chosen three restaurant/bistro/bar amalgamations that demonstrate the sort of character you’d expect from Chiswick - all within walking distance of Turnham Green Station, Chiswick Park Station, and our latest development Kewside.

Charlotte’s Bistro – Grin with a free gin

A 3 minute walk from Turnham Green

An independent, locally-owned bistro ideal for helping to bury your after work woes. Suitably, Charlotte’s Bistro is famed as a connoisseur of gin, and has been staging a Gin School that’s very popular with the locals. The class is free, you learn how to compliment drinks, and there are free samples. Free. Everyone is a beginner so it’s guaranteed fun.

Duke of Sussex – Family-friendly, not far to walk

A 4 minute walk from Turnham Green

A short distance from Chiswick Park Station, Duke of Sussex is situated on the edge of Acton Green Common, serving traditional cask ales, premium lagers and an eclectic wine list. It’s a good weekend alternative for families, with an outdoor seating area round the back. The kitchen also stays open until 10:30pm from Monday to Sunday, if you feel like leaving the kids to stew with the babysitter at home for a bit.

La Trompette – The affordable Michelin star restaurant

A 5 minute walk from Turnham Green

This well-established Anglo-French restaurant is characterised by its attentive, knowledgeable staff, and offers more affordability than the average Michelin Star restaurant. While it attracts a wide breadth of opinion, this is perhaps partly due to the mix of opinions of those less accustomed to Michelin star restaurants, where prices can be an excluding factor. But do not fear! Quality and staff friendliness are definitely uncompromised, making for a down-to-earth, yet sophisticated Chiswick dining experience.
